In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
